EMDT Recycling Centre (Alex Buy Back Centre)
This project was commissioned after the trustees’ approval for its operation in the Alexandra base, focused on recycling communities that strive to make ends meet like in any other township
To date approximately R5m has been spent on the project largely on capital infrastructure assets, i.e. baling machines, motor vehicles, and weigh-bridge, which are critical to effective management of the business operations.
We believe the business case applied for the project is responsive to the poverty eradication in the country, as we currently have 10 permanent staff employed in the company.
The project does not only provide job opportunities but also create an added value into the recycling
Space.
